Argentine Legend, Diego Maradona Dies at 60

One of the greatest players that the planet has ever seen, Diego Maradona has died at the age of sixty. The death of the Argentine football legend was announced today by the Argentine Football Association on social media.

Diego Maradona suffered a heart attack early November and had a successful operation, but unfortunately, while trying to treat his alcohol dependency, he lost his life.

The football legend was the Argentine captain when they won the world cup in 1986, where he scored his controversial goal, “hand of God”. Maradona is currently been mourned across the globe, for his exploits in the world of soccer.

The Argentine football club in their statement on social media said, “it’s the deepest sorrow for the death of our legend, you will always be in our hearts.”

The Argentine President in his statement declared 3-days of national mourning and wrote the following words to bid farewell to the legend:

“You took us to the top of the world. You made us immensely happy. You were the greatest of them all.

“Thank you for having existed, Diego. We’re going to miss you all our lives.”
